Piano Nobile

The literal “Meisen feeling” can also be experienced on the first floor, where quite a special atmosphere is created in the Piano Nobile hall with the magnificent stucco ceiling with an impressive ceiling fresco, an artistic tiled fireplace stove and antique wooden panels on the walls.

Until the beginning of the 20th century, this was the guildhall for the zur Meisen guild, after that the porcelain and faience collection of the Swiss State Museum was exhibited in this beautiful room. Now it is fully available for our guests.
